About American Viking Jiu-Jitsu

American Viking Jiu-Jitsu was founded in 2025 and is the vision of head instructors/founders Joel and Heather Kerekes.  We take pride in the art of Jiu-Jitsu and are dedicated to providing the highest quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense to the community and our students. 

With lifetimes of experience, utilizing Jiu-Jitsu in real world force on force situations, as well as competition, we not only provide strong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to our students, but also empower them for life.  As Jiu-Jitsu is ever changing, so is life. 

As challenging as Jiu-Jitsu can be, we provide a unique approach to our coaching style, keeping classes fun, yet engaging for all ages and skill levels.  We honor Jiu-Jitsu tradition, while integrating modern training methodology for accelerated personal development.  Jiu-Jitsu has changed our lives for the better, and now we are excited for the opportunity in dedicating ourselves to help transform the lives of others through the art we love.
